Hey!!!
First of all I want to thank all of you guys for the comments and for visiting my blog. Although, I haven't gotten any emails from anyone! here's the thing, if there's any place that you think that I should visit, send me some pictures and information about the place, and I'll check it out and probably visit that place.
But, at any rate, thanks again for visiting. I can't believe how many people visited on Thursday. I think it was around maybe 50 or maybe a little more than that.
But, I decided in Charleston where I wanted to make my next stop--Florida.
Okay, so you might ask, "how in the world could a cat get from Charleston, SC all the way to Florida in a matter of 4 days??". I have your answer. I caught a 7am flight on friday non-stop to St. Augustine, FL. Here's a picture of me on the plane:
And here's a picture of me when I got off the plane:
All I can say is that I don't know if I really want to take a plane anymore. We had some turbulance, so I guess that's what made me flip my lid. But, when I got to St. Augustine beach, FL, I decided to spend some time there and see just what this place had to offer. So here's some of the pictures I got of the beach.
And here's the pool:
This was such a great place. The pool, the ocean, everything seemed perfect about it. One downfall I would say though, would probably be the people sharing the hotel room next to yours. I mean, seriously, here I am, sitting out on my porch trying to relax by watching the waves, and all of the sudden, I see a fishing line fly off the porch next to mine. Some guy decided he didn't want to walk all the way down to the beach to try to catch some fish, so instead, this dude casts out his fishing line from his porch. I gotta say, though, I was impressed. He actually got the line out as far as the water. In fact, he even caught a good looking fish too. Funny thing was, some guy on the beach saw the fish lying on the beach while my neighbor was trying to reel it in, and the dude on the beach stole the fish. Another funny thing--about an hour later another guy I was neighbors with fried himself a fish.
I, however, didn't take a swim in the ocean or the pool. I decided to lay in the sunlight and try to get a tan, and watch crazy people from balconies cast out fishing lines. But, anyways, one of the places that I heard of here in St. Augustine was the "Fountain of Youth".
okay, here's today's history lesson. a dude name Ponce De Leon actually discovered this place (St. Augustine) in 1513, I believe. He was in search for a "Fountain of Youth" that would supposedly restore your youth. Now, when I went to this place, I actually got to drink water from this "Fountain of Youth". Here's me taking a sip of the water:
Ha ha!! just kidding! I couldn't get a picture because my batteries ran dead shortly after I arrived at the "Fountain of Youth". I just thought I'd throw that one in there just to be funny. But, I don't think that the fountain's water really restored my youth. In fact, it tasted somewhat of eggs, and it actually made me feel a little sick.
But, anyways, I figured I'd see a little more of what Florida had to offer by visiting Disney World in Orlando. And it was GREAT. The Dumbo ride had to be my favorite. But here's a few pictures I got while I was there:
I would've gotten a picture with Mickey, but I didn't know if a mouse would really care to hang out with a cat like me. But I met up with him on the Dumbo ride, and I've come to find out that he's really a nice guy. He told me that the reason why he was off riding rides was because he liked to escape sometimes, and that was his way of doing so. Plus, Minney Mouse was quite angry at him for not picking up the milk when he went to the store.
Another one of those pictures was of Disney World at night. Its funny how a cat like me can sneak into places long after they're closed for the day!
Oh, yeah, and there's one of the Train. I loved that thing. I'm in that picture in fact, but the stupid guy I got to take the picture apparently doesn't know how to zoom in on a snapshot.
But I got a really nice hotel room at the Hilton Resort. Here's what my room looked like:
I gotta say, I slept very good on that bed. In fact, I had been told that Tom Cruise had actually been in that same room when he came last year. But I did a little bit of shopping in Orlando and I wanted to show you something I found:
I was deeply offended when I saw this postcard. Is there something wrong with fat cats?? huh??? but, I tried to imitate this cat when I got back to the hotel, so tell me if I look any bit similar:
Maybe a small resemblance. But, anyway, I gotta say, the entire trip has been fun so far. I figure I'll spend another day or two here before I depart for my next trip.
But, seriously, keep those emails and comments coming!! Where should I make my next stop?? Any place that you think is interesting, just email me about it and send me a few pictures if you want. I would really appreciate it. But for now, me and Mickey Mouse are gonna spend the rest of the day on the Dumbo ride, so I had better get going.
So I'll see ya soon!!!
